POSITION: Graphic Designer
This position provides an opportunity for the selected candidates to apply his/her graphic design expertise to design and produce a broad range of finished products relating to digital printing and signage and branding. Provide graphic design support to Agency customers with hard and soft copy products, Perform a wide range of routine to complex duties and responsibilities to include:
Web design,Publications,brochures,covers,Posters, briefings, multimedia,Illustration, logos, exhibits in a wide variety of formats and delivery, including: hardcopy and electronic publications and briefings, interactive multimedia, and 3D animation.
Qualifications: BA or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Computer Graphics, Multimedia, or Illustration. Demonstrated excellence in graphic design skills and a high degree of innovation through the professional portfolio; excellent analytic thinking and creative problem solving skills for visual information design; strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills; the ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team; the stamina to produce high-quality graphics in a fast-paced work environment; proficiency with state-of-the-art software to produce accurate and innovative graphic design; and ability to quickly learn and integrate new tools and technologies to meet customer needs. Experience using some or all of the following is required: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe InDesign; Microsoft PowerPoint; Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash; and Director.
POSITION: PRINT PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
This position is responsible for coordinating digital print production and fulfillment of print pieces, overseeing Production from start to finish.
PRINT RESPONSIBILITIES
* Troubleshoots and manages Production for Agency print work
* Works with Account Service and Art Director at Pre-Bid Meeting to acquire accurate specs for print production and fulfillment jobs on Bid Request Form
* Create printed samples for multiple vendors for all Bid Requests (printing and premiums) and review them for accuracy, following up with Account Service and Art Director to clarify questions regarding paper, size, color, binding and fulfillment
* Builds Comparison Spreadsheet from quotes received from vendors, recommending materials for print jobs, taking into account print piece, cost, vendor’s prior print history and quality
* Works with Account Service and vendor to prepare timeline for print jobs, including negotiating turnaround on urgent jobs
* Attends OK to Set Meeting with Account Service,Managers, Art Buyer and Creative teams to confirm specs and assure Agency has all information necessary to release job
* Prepares Component Summary Form for all print jobs and premiums
* Works with team to proof job (layout, copy, quality, etc.)
* Works with Account Service and vendor to flag and process alterations and corrections to proof
* Reviews for accuracy and discusses cost issues or print discrepancies with management
* Mentors Account Service Team on Production and fulfillment issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma, college degree preferred
* 3 years of digital print production management experience
* 3 years of work experience as a production manager at an advertising agency, outdoor media supplier
* Good communication skills, negotiation skills and effective organization skills
* Print Production and Digital Print Equipment knowledge a must
* Proficient in Word and Excel
* Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite 3, Adobe photoshop and Illustrator a must.
